Gear Blanks

Used in transmission gear boxes of motorcycles.
Diameter : Up to 70 mm
Material : Case hardening steel alloys (SAE 8620H, SCM 420 etc)

Transmission Shafts

Widely used in transmission gearboxes of two wheelers, these shafts are forged with external splines for assembly of gears. The process gives high strength and high torque bearing capacity.

Root radius of splines : 0.2 / 0.4 R

Cams

Used in two wheeler magnetos for adjusting the ignition timing. Tolerances of up to 50 microns can be achieved in ‘as forged’ condition.

Starter Sleeves & Pinions

Used in starters of IC Engines, the importance of the cold forging process lies in generating the cam profile of the starter sleeve and involute gear tooth profile of pinion blanks to the final dimensions.
